White House Declares Monkeypox A “Public Health Emergency”
It was just a matter of time before the Biden administration would use something like Monkeypox to fix the next election cycle.
They cannot win on the issues, so they have to come up with something to fix the mid-term elections.
It is unfortunate the Biden administration have chosen to politicize Monkeypox instead of addressing the issue head on.
Everyone who has been reading about Monkeypox knows this is not a national emergency, but an emergency limited to certain states and cities in the United States. It is also limited to a specific sector of our population.
Keep in mind, as of today, the number of infected people in the United States is around 6,600 out of a population of over 330 million people.
You do the math and try to rationalize how this is a “public health emergency.”
Like the government did with HIV/AIDS, they have, once again, neglected to address the issue and instead made Monkeypox a political one.
Why is it every time an American breaks the law overseas, and it is found guilty for breaking those country’s laws, our government acts outraged?
Because our government thinks rich and famous Americans are above the law, not only in our country, but in other countries as well.
Basketball player Brittney Grier was convicted in a Russian court for possession of cannabis and smuggling. Grier was sentenced to 9 years in prison and the Biden administration finds the verdict “unacceptable.”
Unacceptable? This is the same Biden administration who, as reported, was willing to trade Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout for this American citizen who broke the laws of a foreign country.
That would have been “unacceptable.” During the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Viktor Bout was responsible for the death of millions of human beings from Eastern Europe to the Middle East as he sold weapons to whomever was willing to pay the price.
Viktor Bout is currently serving a 25 year sentence in the United States for conspiring to kill Americans and Joe Biden wants to trade this international criminal for a petty drug smuggler who happened to get caught violating Russian law.
Only the corrupt Biden administration would be willing to suggest such a stupid trade.
As a Federal Air Marshal, I traveled the world, and understood that while working in foreign countries, I was not only representing the government of the United States, but still bound by the laws of such countries.
Having said that, I worked with many agents who thought they could act like idiots overseas and get away with it, so it does happen.
When you are overseas, your American passport is not a pass to do as you please, you still a “guest” and not exempt from that country’s laws.
Ms. Grier should have done her research, after all, she has been playing in Russia for quite some time, she should have known better.
Unacceptable is the fact the corrupt Biden administration things drug possession and smuggling into a foreign country is acceptable.
Ms. Grier athlete status does not exempt her from following the law.
Just because the United States has a dual justice system, one for the rich and one for the poor, it does not mean every country in the world has to follow this flawed system of justice.
