The Republican Party “C’est Fini”

One thing I have always admired about the Democrats is the fact they always fight and get what they want, even in the minority.  I don’t support their policies, but I always recognize a prize fighter when I see one.

Democrats exercise the power of the office while Republicans enjoy the glamour of being in office.  That’s a big difference and now with the Democrats in power, Republicans are nowhere to be found.

Sure, they talk a good game in front of the cameras and in conservative radio talk shows, but when it is time to put their money where their mouth is, they play broke.

Republicans are all about perception over principles while Democrats couldn’t care less about what “we the people” may think or feel.  The Democrats will ram anything through the Congress, and they are 100% in it. 

The Republicans, even in the majority, rarely get anything done.  The Obama administration committed many impeachable acts during their tenure, but Republicans were worried about been labeled “racists” for impeaching the first “Black President.” 

From weaponizing the IRS against American citizens, to Benghazi, to Fast and Furious, and the extra judicial droning of American citizens.  The Republicans did nothing and the Obama administration lived to tell the tale, their tale.

Democrats?  Democrats were impeaching President Trump from the moment he became the Republican Party nominee.  Once he became President, the game was on, and the Democrats were all over it and committed to impeach him by any means possible.  They did it, not once, but twice.

On the first impeachment trial, they claimed President Trump had abused his power and obstructed the Congress.  President Trump was impeached a second time after the January 6, 2021, riots at the Capitol. 

On both trials the Senate voted for acquittal despite the fact 10 Republicans joined in with the Democrats to impeach him on the second trial.  With Republicans like that who needs Democrats.

Need more evidence of Republican weakness?  In the latest Republican caper, Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, along with 10 Republicans join in with the Democrats to give them a huge victory over the debt ceiling debacle.

The Republicans who joined this exercise on fiscal irresponsibility were, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, South Dakota Sen. John Thune, South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds, Texas Sen. John Cornyn, West Virginia Sen. Shelly Moore Capito and Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso.

Mitch McConnell and the Republicans didn’t need to do this.  They had the upper hand, and they should have forced the Democrats to raise the ceiling via the budget reconciliation process.  After the fact, Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer took a victory lap while humiliating the Republicans in the process.

Chuck Schumer went on to say, “We have reached an agreement to extend the debt ceiling through early December, and it’s our hope that we can get this done as soon as today,”

An agreement?  Excuse me, but this was nothing more than a capitulation by the Republicans.  As they always do, talk a good game and at the end they always fold.

The Republican Party is weak and is ran by old foolish leadership.  If you think they will step up to the plate and get anything done in the event they retake the House and the Senate in 2022, think again.  Not with career politicians like Mitch McConnell or Lindsay Graham at the helm.

The Republicans don’t have it in them to fight, the Democrats are political MMA fighters.  Consider this, when Democrats are the minority at the Federal level, they take all their energy and money and concentrate on local elections.

Democrats are always two steps ahead while Republicans are trying to figure out which foot to move first. 

The Republican Party is dead. The road toward socialism has never been brighter.

Raising the Debt Ceiling

When it comes to reckless spending in Washington, there is no such thing as Republican or Democrats.

These two compete against each to see which one can spend the most while taking the country down the road of insolvency.

The fight to raise the debt limit continues, meanwhile Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, is even suggesting the United States get rid of the debt ceiling all together. This is crazy talk my fellow Americans.

To those of you who do not know the meaning of the debt ceiling, it is simple.

The debt ceiling is the maximum amount of money the United States government can borrow by issuing bonds. Once the national debt touches the debt ceiling, the Treasury department needs to step in to pay government obligations and expenditures until the ceiling is raised by Congress.

In the event the debt ceiling is not raised, the United States government could default on its debt.

Our government continues to spend and borrow money we do not have therefore the debt ceiling needs to be raised to meet those obligations.

How have we got here? In April of 2021, the United States debt hit the $28 trillion mark for the first time ever in our history. This is how you get yourself in a financial bind.

Imagine if you were to call your credit card company and ask for them to raise your credit limit despite the fact you can barely make minimum payments. They will laugh at you.

Then come the threats of a government shutdown. Let us be honest about what it really means and not the apocalyptic picture our government wants to paint.

Essential services and personnel continue to operate. This includes the military, law enforcement, and anything essential to the operation of our government. Welfare checks, military pensions, Social Security benefits, and social services do not stop.

The worst-case scenario is a paid vacation for non-essential government workers. They are sent home and at the end of the shutdown they get paid for work they did not perform.

This happened back in 1995 when Newt Gingrich refused to negotiate with Bill Clinton for higher government spending. It went into 1996, and despite the efforts by the Republicans not to pay furloughed government employees, they eventually caved in. One positive was a balanced budget was agreed upon for the first time in decades.

In 2011, Obama faced the same issue with Republicans asking for deficit reductions in exchange for a raise in the debt ceiling. It was so bad that the Standards & Poor (S&P), stripped the United States of its 70-year triple A rating.

In 2013, the government shutdown for 16 days over the Affordable Care Act. What did Congress do? Eliminated the debt ceiling. Very fiscally responsible if you ask me.

Since then, the debt ceiling has been raised in 2014, 2015, and 2017, and 2019, when the debt reached $22 trillion dollars.

Now, the Republicans are at it again. Mitch McConnell, along with several other “Republicans in Name Only,” senators, has offered the Democrats a “short term solution.”  In a statement, McConnell said the Republicans would support a deal to temporarily suspend the debt ceiling a “fixed dollar amount.”

Nothing is temporary in Washington. According to McConnell, the agreement would cover current spending levels into December, giving the Democrats an out to find a more permanent solution.

What about stopping reckless spending and living within our fiscal means?

The debt ceiling was supposed to be a measure to regulate government spending and to keep the government fiscally responsible. Since World War I, the debt ceiling has been raised over seventy-eight times to avoid government default on its debt. Obviously, it is not working.

Meanwhile, the Democrats in Congress want to spend like drunken sailors by adding trillions of dollars to an already bloated government debt.

Do not hold your breath, the Republicans will cave in, the debt ceiling will be raised along with more spending.

The U.S. Department of Justice to Treat Parents as Domestic Terrorists?

The newest Banana Republic better known as the United States of Something, continues its march towards totalitarianism and Marxism.

This time by using the Department of Justice (DOJ) to go after parents for having a say in their children’s education, and for holding school boards and teachers accountable.

As reported by One America News Network, the Biden Justice Department has created a task force with the whole purpose of silencing parents critical of government (public) school boards.

Is the Biden administration fixing to designate parents who disagree or questioned school boards as domestic terrorists? Can this government get any crazier?

The National School Boards Association, a liberal organization, sent a letter to the White House claiming public schools and their staff were in “immediate danger.” 

I believe 100% in the rule of law and if a parent gets physical against a public official, he or she should be managed accordingly. This is not about that, this is about the fact that parents, because of the pandemic and lockdowns, have become more involved in their children’s education and they do not like what they see.

In a statement, the DOJ said that it would create a task force to address individual incidents and work to educate school staff on how to identify potential threats as well as gather evidence. I am curious to see what the DOJ identifies as “potential threats.”

This is nothing more than an attempt to silence parents who finally have seen firsthand the destructive side of the public-school boards, teachers, and the “indoctrination” material that has been spoon fed to their children.

Parents are fighting draconian Covid-19 restrictions, the teachings of false American history, and Critical Race Theory curriculums among other things.

The school boards do not like it, so they want to silence parents by criminalizing free speech and using the DOJ and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as their enforcement tool.

Since when does the DOJ and the FBI oversee school matters? This is an issue to be managed by local authorities. Furthermore, the Department of Education have its own cadre of special agents to oversee matters such as the ones “claimed” by the National School Boards Association.

This is nothing more than more unchecked government overreach. By using the DOJ as their guard dog, schools and teachers are hoping parents will be intimidated enough to walk away.

That would be a big mistake, the government has no business choosing what is best for our children. That is the sole responsibility of the parents, and they should have a say in what’s adequate education for their children. Parents pay the taxes that keep these government schools and their staff in business.

Parents have the right to face and question their school boards without being intimidated by the government for simply exercising their right to free speech. Parents have the right to demand their children receive a good education, free of political bias.

I can think of many other things the DOJ and the FBI could use their time on, things like election fraud, Antifa and BLM destruction of government property and assaults on private citizens, you know things that need to be investigated.

From Heroes to Zeroes

I remember the days after September 11, 2001, every American was going around waving their little American flags, singing Kumbaya, and praising those brave first responders.

That lasted a few months and then everyone went back to their selfish ways. I know because I was a Federal Air Marshal and people were acting like fools on flights and in the airports. Many Americans have a noticeably short-term memory when it does not directly affect them.

Fast forward to 2020 and the Chinese virus. Once again, Americans were praising the healthcare frontline workers and you could not turn to a television channel without some type of advertising saying thanks for their work and sacrifice.

These workers exposed themselves to Covid-19 patients’ day and day out. Their faces were scarred from wearing masks for long hours and they ran the risk of infecting their own loved ones. Mind you, when Covid-19 appeared into the scene nobody knew much about it, we still don’t.

But now, in 2021, those who were once the heroes of the pandemic have become the zeroes. Hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the United States are mandating these healthcare workers to vaccinate or else.

Meanwhile, illegal aliens crossing our Southern border and Afghans refugees are not mandated to be vaccinated before been dropped off by the government into our communities. Go figure!

Nationwide, healthcare workers who have been exposed to Covid -19, and most likely have developed antibodies against the disease, are now facing termination and ridiculous fees if they refuse to vaccinate or have their own spouses vaccinated.

The latest on this Orwellian saga is Ochsner Health in Louisiana. The largest healthcare provider in the State will begin imposing fines, $200.00 each month if the spouse of an employee is unvaccinated. Say what? They call it the “Spousal Covid Vaccine Fee”.

Basically, this will affect employees whose spouses are on the hospital’s healthcare plan.  But Ochsner is going to be nice enough to allow them to split the payment into two $100.00 payments.

Between this and medical doctors refusing to treat unvaccinated people, we can officially declare the medical community as insane.

How can you trust a healthcare system who behaves this way against their own workers? You can’t!

Lie of The Week

$3.5 Trillion Spending Plan

Once again, the Democrats continue to open their mouths spewing more lies. This time about their reckless $3.5 trillion dollar spending plan.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in the House and Senate, have gone in a publicity spree promoting this monstrosity. Claiming of all things the plan will incur zero tax increases on the American people and it is completely paid for.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) already stated the spending plan will add over $250 billion dollars to the deficit over the next 10 years.

I do not need the CBO to tell me that anything coming out of Washington D.C. is anything but “paid for.” 

When asked about the plan and its cost, Nancy Pelosi stated, “It’s not about a dollar amount. The dollar amount, as the President has said, is zero. This bill will be paid for. It is about what are the values that we share and how we prioritize them. And that is the place we will go.”

This is typical Washington, D.C. “Potomac Two-Step.”  Pelosi’s play on words is typical. She always answers the questions without answering the questions. You know why? Because Pelosi thinks you and I are too stupid and cannot tell the difference between the truth and bold face lies.

This spending plan is not paid for. Thankfully for us, the Democrats have some politicians in their ranks who understand the consequences of reckless spending and what it can do to American families and our economic future.

Senator Joe Manchin, from West Virginia and Kristen Sinema, from Arizona appear to be the only two Senators in the Democratic party who are not willing to bankrupt the country.

When asked, Senator Manchin stated, “What I have made clear to the President and democratic leaders is that spending trillions more on new and expanded government programs when we can’t even pay for sessional social programs, like Social Security and Medicare, is the definition of fiscal insanity.”

He is correct, it is insanity. Social Security is on the verge of insolvency within the next decade and Medicare is currently facing an $85.6 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities.

The United States has $6 trillion in assets and $130 trillion in unfunded liabilities. During the first six months of FY 2021, the government ran a $1.7 trillion dollar deficit while raising the national debt to a whopping $28 trillion dollar. The first time in American history.

This is not Common Core mathematics; 2+2=4.

The truth about this lie is the fact they will tax Americans to death. They don’t have the money to pay for this spending bill, so they are coming after you and your hard-earned cash.
