Voting Rights is Not a Problem in The United States

I have voted in every presidential election since I came to the mainland from Puerto Rico in 1988. My careers have taken me to several states, and I have never, ever, been denied the right to vote by anyone.

I have voted in person or via absentee ballot. I never had an excuse not to vote, after all, the system affords me all the opportunities to vote and anyone who claims otherwise, is just flat out lazy.

As far as I can remember I have always had an identification. I never walked around without an identification, be a school identification card or my official law enforcement credentials. You cannot do anything in the United States without proper identification, period.

Lack of a photo identification or access to one has been the number one excuse by minority groups to claim some form of voting discrimination. This is a false claim and an excuse for Democrats every time they fail in an election cycle.

As of September 10, 2020, all 50 states have complied with the Department of Homeland Security “Real ID” requirements, meaning everyone is to be issued either a REAL ID driver’s license or state identification card.

Most states accept many forms of non-picture identification, and most of them offer free photo identifications to those who cannot afford to pay for one. This is an excuse that has run its course and a myth that needs to be debunked.

Other excuses include lack of polling places, lack of transportation, or ‘I’m a minority.’ These are nothing more than excuses by those who make a living by being perpetual victims or race hustlers.

The United States Constitution guarantees every American the right to vote, it is up to us as citizens to exercise that right.

The 15th Amendment is clear; “the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”

The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. The 24th amendment eliminated the poll tax and the 26th amendment lowered the voting age from 21 to 18 years of age. Overall, four amendments were specifically designed to address the right to vote in the United States.

We have more amendments addressing this critical issue than any other in our Constitution. This is how important the founding fathers thought about voting rights and the future of a constitutional form of government.

The establishment of voting laws is not part of the Powers of Congress under Section 8 of the Constitution. Today, Joe Biden and the Democrats are trying to federalize our electoral system by enacting legislation that will end our constitutional system of government as we know it.

Article 1, Section 4, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution states, “The Times, and Manner of holding Elections for Senators Places and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.”

The constitution is clear, elections are the responsibility of the individual states, not the federal government.

Joe Biden has openly called for abolishing the Senate 60-vote rule to force the passage of two so-called “voting rights” bills.

Even though Joe Biden always defended the filibuster rule while in the Senate, today he is quoted as saying “this is the moment to decide to defend our elections, to defend our democracy.”

Democrats always forget we are not a democracy; we are a constitutional republic. If they feel there is a problem with our electoral system, they should follow Article 5 of the Constitution and with two thirds of both houses, propose a constitutional amendment.

These so-called “voting rights” bills are nothing more than a complete takeover of our electoral system by the federal government. The Democrats are using fictitious, non-existent problems, to justify their power grab.

What happened on January 6th has nothing to do with voting rights, but the Democrats claim that the Capitol riots were an existential threat to our country and are using it as an excuse to ram these pieces of legislation down our throats. Fear and scaremongering have always been the ‘go-to’ tool for the Democrats.

The Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act are a way for Democrats to set a federal standard on the United States election system, and by default remove, finally, any state involvement in our elections.

If this were to happen, our country will become a dictatorship no different from Venezuela, and you can kiss our Constitution goodbye.

For a party that claims their presidential candidate got over 80 million votes, more than any other president in the history of this country, they do not seem to trust the system our Constitution has given us. Of course, this is the same party who wants nothing to do with the investigation of election irregularities, so go figure.

Joe Biden and the Democrats are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure they keep a hold on power for as long as they can, and if it means to destroy the country and our constitutional republic in the process they will.

They want to replace American citizens with illegal aliens and foreigners they can control, and this is the way to do it. These pieces of legislation will make the requirement of citizenship to vote an afterthought.

Do I believe the Senate will abolish the filibuster? I would like to think not, after all, the Democrats will be in the minority at some point, and like in the past, they will enjoy the benefits of stalling legislation.

But if they do succeed in getting rid of the filibuster rule and pass these two pieces of legislation, I can guarantee the states are not going to take it laying down. I see many judicial challenges including a trip to the Supreme Court.

At the end of the day, this has little to do with voting rights and everything to do with a massive power grab by an already bloated federal government, and a corrupt Democrat Party.

Foreign Aid FY-2021

With a $29.7 trillion dollars in national debt, one must question why the United States had a $36 billion dollar bill worth of foreign aid obligations for the fiscal year 2021.

Some of these countries are our sworn enemies and others are continuously violating our sovereignty and laws by exporting illegal aliens into the United States.

The following is the breakdown of the more egregious recipients of American taxpayer dollars.

  • China- $13.1M
  • Colombia- $ 451M
  • Cuba- $6.61M
  • El Salvador- $109M
  • Guatemala- $255M
  • Haiti- $233M
  • Honduras- $196M
  • Iraq- $311M
  • Mexico- $82.2M
  • Nicaragua- $32.7M
  • Venezuela- $180M

Meanwhile in the United States homelessness is on the rise, inflation is at an all-time high at 6.4%, and American kids can’t even break the top 10 in the OECD rankings in Mathematics, Reading, and Science.

I have to say, foreign aid figures for FY-2021 were much lower than those for FY-2020 of $51 billion dollars, nevertheless, given the current fiscal situation in the United States, every dollar needs to be invested wisely.

Given the nature of our government’s wasteful spending, I feel confident the figures for FY-2022, under the fiscally reckless Democrats, and some Republicans, is going to reach FY-2020 levels or even surpass those numbers.

It is unfortunate, but this fiscal train wreck is inevitable.

One thing is for sure, we need to do more here at home as we are losing financially and academically to countries that we would classify as ‘underdeveloped.’

I am looking forward to FY-2022.

I won’t spend time writing about all the inadequacies of Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez. The congresswoman is incompetent and a daily reminder of the equally incompetent government we have.

Here is another example of how the left loves to preach, but will not follow their own gospel.

The Real Victims of January 6, 2021

Listening to the Democrats stating the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, were far worse than the burning of the Capitol by the British Army in 1812, the Civil War and 9/11, is not only insulting, but disrespectful to the memory of those Americans who fought the War of 1812, the Civil War and those who perished on 9/11 at the hands of Muslim extremists.

The events on January 6th, 2021, were a dark moment in our history. Not only were we deprived of an orderly transfer of power but will never know what really happen to the 2020 election.

Our congressional representatives were not allowed to do their jobs, and we will never know the truth. Once the proceedings were disrupted, any chance of challenging the election were dead on arrival.

I did not have a problem with President Trump questioning the results, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats did it in 2016, including lodging objections to the Electoral College results on the House floor.

The significant difference is the Capitol was not stormed and the members of Congress were allowed to certify the election.

My problem was once things got out hand, by Capitol Police allowing rioters to enter the Capitol or rioters making their way into the Capitol, President Trump cleaned his hands and did not go on national television to tell these rioters to stand down.

That was his job, after all, these people were acting, by all intent and purposes, on his behalf. I believe these Americans believed they were wronged and had a legitimate grievance, but it was President Trump’s job to ensure these individuals did not take matters into their own hands.

It was his job to protect them, to protect the Constitution, and he failed to do so.

Even as public personalities like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and his own son, Donald Trump Jr., were asking for the president to intervene, President Trump let the riots to go on without saying a word.

Having said that, January 6th was far from an insurrection. The Department of Justice has been sitting on this for over a year and have not been able to produce a piece of evidence that would indicate an ‘insurrection’ took place.

Meanwhile, American citizens sit in jail waiting to be charged or brought to trial. These individuals have been treated as they have zero constitutional rights or rights under our laws.

Of over 200 charged or arrested, 83 of them have been languishing in solitary confinement while Attorney General Garland sits on his hands.

Regardless of your political affiliations, this should frighten you to the core. We still live under a constitutional form of government in which people are innocent until proven guilty. If you believe these individuals should stay in jail indefinitely, you are not an American.

The hypocrisy of Joe Biden and the Democrats, who in 2020 supported the hundreds of riots, burnings, and looting, across the United States, perpetrated by Black Lives Matter and Antifa, is a joke on its own merit.

Most of these criminals were never arrested, and those who were arrested, were either let go without charges, or bailed out of jail by George Soros and Democrat Party operatives.

If we are going to throw comparisons between what happened on January 6, 2021, and what happened in the whole of 2020, what happened on January 6th is nothing.

Sure, a few police officers got hurt, but no police officers were killed by the rioters. The only actual victim of gun fire at the Capitol was unarmed Air Force veteran Ashley Babbitt who was fatally shot by Capitol Police officer Michael Boyd. As of today, nobody has been held accountable for her death.

Finally, January 6, 2021, was a mixture of law enforcement and intelligence failures, combined with a sector of the population who felt completely disfranchise, and lack of leadership from the White House and congressional leaders.

The only losers on January 6th were the American people. As much as the Democrats want to use this issue to divide the country, what happened at the Capitol was a reminder how fragile our Constitutional Republic can be.

Social Media is a Cancer That Needs Eradication

I am not a member of Facebook, Twitter, Tik-tok, Snapchat, Instagram, and any other of those social media outlets.

I never cared for them because I believe they are nothing more than outlets for cowards who would never dare to say the things they type, in one’s face.

It is funny to see how politicians and so-called ‘influencers,’ get upset when they get suspended or banned for site violations.

After all, these companies are private enterprises, and they have the right to admit or dismiss those they see fit. The same way, we have the right, as consumers, to refuse to use them.

Unfortunately, social media has become a substitute for real life encounters and conversations. People sit in their underwear and type away or post things, that by most part, other people do not care about.

Other than your family; who cares if your kid got a 25th place trophy? Who cares if you indulge on a Big Mac after claiming you did a forty-five-minute workout?

Social media provides the means for people to spew hate, left and right, and never be held accountable. If you are not willing to say that same thing to my face, I have no time for you. Some of the things I have read on social media could warrant some serious legal issues.

People threatening others with a keyboard, and from miles away, is a cowardly act, but that is what it is today.

From politicians telling their followers to physically harm people because they have a different political ideology, to outlets like Facebook, banning a United States President, social media has created a whole class of what I have coined “techno-terrorists.”

These techno-terrorists are protected by the government and by pages of small print customer’s agreements with the social media conglomerates.

When social media outlets allow Democrat members of Congress to say whatever they want to say but restricts and remove information provided by Republican members of Congress, this is an attack on the First Amendment. It does nothing for the betterment of society and it restricts the flow of information.

When a social media magnate is given so much power about what people is allowed to say or discuss in a free society, we have a problem. This behavior is in complete contradiction with the United States Constitution.

Let us be honest, they are all the same, be a liberal platform or a conservative platform. If you do not have a little blue checkmark or some other symbol of exclusivity next to your name, you are treated differently. This is true of Twitter or the newly conservative outlet, Gettr.

These are social clubs for the politically and socially powerful, everyone else are the water carriers, without them they could not survive.

I compare social media to Mega-churches. People are looking for something to fulfil some emptiness in their life, be by giving 10% of their income to the church with the promise of eternal salvation or following some A-lister hoping one of their posts gets acknowledge, it is all the same.

There are also outlets for those who are nothing more than irrelevant afterthoughts who need these followers to survive. As soon as some faceless follower complains about their activities or comments, they go on an apology tour. They do not even have the self-respect to stand by their comments.

Places like Twitter and Facebook allows and promotes violence by extremist groups, be Antifa, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, or BLM, while at the same time removing accounts and information posted by those who live a more normal life.

They are de-facto an extension of political parties, mainly the Democratic Party, and they serve as their digital judge, jury, and executioners of those who exercise independent thinking and free speech. They are not regulated, and as a private enterprise, they get away with everything a publisher or a real news outlet could not.

They speak of conservative misinformation, but they fail to admit they are the ones spreading misinformation by not allowing the truth to flow. They allow a liar like Anthony Fauci to flip flop in real time, but according to them, Fauci is the only doctor on the planet who knows what he is talking about.

When faced with facts by people like Senator Rand Paul, the social media police deem his factual commentary as an attack on Fauci. The double standard is despicable and ridiculous enough for me not to get involve in these types of social media outlets.

Before social media, people had to talk to each other. There was a level of respect and understanding that has been lost by people hiding behind a keyboard and feeling empowered to talk to others whichever way they want.

Disrespect has become fashionable among the ‘mommy basement dwellers’ with their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Social media has created heroes out of zeroes and a new class of useless beings.

Social media is a societal cancer and until people realize they are nothing more than a hamster on a wheel, the big tech billionaires will continue to use them, and will continue to make billions while trouncing on free speech.
