Minneapolis, Minnesota: Fighting Perceived Racism With Racism Of Their Own
I have been to Minneapolis, Minnesota many times during my career as a Federal Air Marshal, and I can honestly say that it was nothing to look at or a place I would take my family on a vacation.
As reported, the Minneapolis Teacher’s Union has reached a settlement with the local school district that will ensure white teachers lose their jobs first, regardless of seniority status.
I do not know about you, but this sounds pretty racist to me. They are trying to fix a perceived wrong with a bigger wrong.
Folks, this is the America we live in. Forget about merit, if you have the “complexion for the connection,” you can be the dumbest individual on earth and still get ahead.
This is not the United States that I grew up in. The United States I know, is a country where the best qualified people would get the job, regardless of color or ethnic origin.
A society based on victimhood, and not on merit, only hurt those citizens who depend on those people for their services.
I want the best people for the job. If they happen to be white or black, it is irrelevant as long as they are the best qualified individuals.
They claim they want to address “past discrimination.” The problem is that they want to fight perceived discrimination with discrimination of their own.
As the article points out, the data does not support their claim.
More amazingly is the fact white teachers have gone along with this bargaining agreement. I guess “white guilt” can be very powerful inside the minds of the psychologically weak.
Unfortunately, for Minneapolis children, they will have to settle for whatever they can get, not the best they can get.
You want to know why American kids are amongst the dumbest in the world according to OECD data? Look no further.
