Promoting Illegal Immigration
Growing up in Puerto Rico, I used to watch the news on a daily basis. Back in the 1970’s and 1980’s we had great journalists. People like Anibal Gonzalez Irrizarry, Carmen Jovet, and Jorge Ramos, to name a few.
These individuals were great at their craft. They reported the news, honestly, and the people trusted them.
Fast forward to 2024. The legacy news media is nothing more than an extension of our political parties. The people no longer trust the news media and have chosen to go elsewhere to consume their news and information.
Noticias Telemundo had an interview with Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris. For the most part, I expected softball questions, Harris’ word salad, and one-sided media bias. They viewers were not disappointed.
When it came to the topic of immigration, that is when Noticias Telemundo and its correspondent showed their true colors. Of course, Harris did what she does best, pander to whomever is the “Flavor Of The Day,” which in this instance were Latinos and Hispanic.
These people do not care about our sovereignty or our laws. These people think the United States of America is the world’s dumping ground and they have zero problem advocating for it.
This is the exchange between Harris and Vaqueiro on the subject.
VAQUEIRO: I hear you, but I think my question is, right now, we’re talking about border security, and there’s nobody, no Democrat, talking about pathway to citizenship and immigration relief, and…
HARRIS: I am. I am talking about it.
VAQUEIRO: …the benefits that migrants bring to this country.
HARRIS: Oh, but… there’s no question that… migrants bring… America is a country that is… was built, in part, by immigrants who have come…
VAQUEIRO: But people are concerned about their TPS, their… DACA, their… We’re talking about mass deportations.
HARRIS: I’m not talking about… anything other…
VAQUEIRO: Where do you stand on mass deportations? What’s your stand there?
HARRIS: We need smart, humane immigration policy in America that includes a pathway to citizenship, putting more resources at the border in terms of security, honoring America’s history as a country of immigrants, not vilifying people who are fleeing harm, but instead, creating an orderly system for them to actually be able to make their case. That’s where I stand. I stand on the principle that we should not be talking about immigrants as “poisoning the blood of America.”
VAQUEIRO: How can… You might not win Congress, so how can you make sure you pass an immigration reform, a pathway to citizenship? Because Latinos have heard a lot about this for decades now, and… it feels like an unfulfilled promise.
HARRIS: Well, there has been bipartisan support in the past, and I think this election and how Latinos vote can help pave the pathway for the solutions. Donald Trump is not going to push for a pathway for citizenship. He did not in the past, he will not in the future. We know Donald Trump and how he talks about immigration.
VAQUEIRO: Yeah.
HARRIS: And so, let… I… I… cannot emphasize more strongly, the Latino vote in this election is very important. And I know well enough that the people that we are talking about believe in our country, love our country, are dedicated to its growth, its prosperity, and the opportunity that everyone should have to dignity and the ability to be treated with respect. And that is not Donald Trump’s future.
Donald Trump is trying to take us backward. He is not trying to take us forward. And the Latino vote, when people look at the issues, whether it be who has a plan for working people in America, who has a plan for the children of America… Part of my plan includes expanding the child tax credit so young families get $6,000 during the first year of their child’s life.
VAQUEIRO: Yes.
HARRIS: These are the issues that I would ask everyone watching this to take a look at. Who actually has a plan? Go to KamalaHarris.com and you will see 80 pages of my plan that is mostly focused on middle class, working people, small businesses, families, and uplifting the people. Donald Trump is a lot of rhetoric.
As you can see, illegal immigration has been promoted by the English and Spanish language news media, and it is a disgrace. These outfits do not care about the safety of those traveling here, they do not care about child trafficking, they do not care about the safety of the American citizen.
A Harris presidency will transform the United States of America into a third world country. As you can read for yourselves, she does not care about America or its citizens.
Harris and the Democrats have no idea how Latinos and Hispanics really feel about our politics and values.
Noticias Telemundo should be embarrassed for promoting and encouraging illegal immigration.
This is not my grandparents Telemundo.
